Founder’s note
“A failed drive is never just a device. We feel the weight of every case exactly as its owner does.”
I trained as a mechanical engineer and spent five years at General Motors. What I took from it was not the job title — it was standardisation: written SOPs, repeatable procedure, and automation wherever a human hand would otherwise drift. Data recovery kept pulling at me, and I ran it alongside the work until it stopped being something I could do part-time.
So I left, and built DataCare Labs around that same discipline. A Class 100 clean room where the mechanical work on a drive follows a written procedure rather than a feel for it. A donor-drive library reaching back to 2002. A team of engineers rather than a workshop bench. It is why the same steps run on your drive whoever is on shift, and why our process is audited to ISO 9001:2015 rather than simply asserted — fifteen years and more than 18,900 recoveries on.
Something else I learned early: nobody sends us a drive on a good day. It is a thesis three years in. A hospital’s records. A business’s accounts the week before an audit. The only photographs of someone who is no longer here. We have opened all of those, and not one of them was a job number to the person who handed it over. That is the standard we hold ourselves to — your case gets the urgency you feel, not the urgency of a queue.
We work on hard disks, SSDs, pen drives, memory cards, servers, NAS and RAID in any configuration — for banks, hospitals, manufacturers, corporate offices, educational institutions and individuals across India. Free analysis in 25-30 minutes, a typical 24-48 hour turnaround*, and No Data–No Charge at every step.
